XIA YUQING

BORN IN 1999

Yuqing Xia primarily creates painting, multimedia installations and ceramics, while also exploring photography and performance. Her narrative-driven works, often infused with personal reflection and critical observation, subtly challenge societal norms through a balance of poetic elegance and biting critique. Blending personal engagement with broader political and ecological themes, Xia’s art grapples with the complexities of identity, power structures, and humanity’s role within the natural world.
